Submit Your Manuscript
Author Guidelines
It is important that you read and understand our Author Guidelines in full. They explain the format in which we expect to receive your manuscript before an editor starts work on it (if we offer you a publishing deal).
Sacristy Press welcomes submissions from talented authors.
Would you like to join our growing list of authors? At Sacristy Press we firmly believe that the best books happen when dedicated authors and dedicated publishers work together.
Have a look at our growing list of books and see if Sacristy Press could be the right publisher for you. We are currently accepting submissions in the following areas:
- Theology, religion and spirituality (non-fiction)
- History non-fiction (preferably with a religious connection, but this is not essential)
- Historical fiction with strong connections to the Christian heritage of North East England
If you would like us to consider your work, please send us the following:
- At least one sample chapter or section of your book (the more you can send us the better)
- Your CV (max. 2 pages)
- A completed project proposal form (MS Word format)
- Acknowledgement that you have read our Author Guidelines in full, and that you are willing to undertake the necessary work to modify your manuscript so that it complies with the guidelines if it is accepted for publication
Send these documents as separate attachments by email to submissions@sacristy.co.uk, with the subject line “Submission: [Your Book Title]”. All files should be in MS Word format (or PDF, if necessary).
We do not accept submissions by post.
We will contact you to confirm receipt within two weeks. Due to the quantity of submissions we receive, it is not possible to indicate how long it may take to review your manuscript – it may take several weeks (or longer) to respond to your submission.
