Leon van Steensel

Leon van Steensel is a Dutch music journalist and publicist. After studying journalism he has been editor of Dutch music magazine Bottomline, held a variety of positions related to music promotion with media (like Evangelical Broadcast Organisation in Holland, a.k.a. EO) and was hired as a publicist/promoter for music distributors (GMI Music).
He has worked as a publicist for distributors of music labels like EMI, Sony/Provident and Integrity Music. He is a regular TV and radio commentator in the Netherlands on Christian music.
Since 2011 he has his own company (Leon van Steensel Producties) from which he operates as a publicist and copy writer. He has worked predominantly on music related projects like the marketing of music releases, book translations and music related press releases.
Leon grew up in a Calvinist, Dutch orthodox church and later found his place of worship in a pioneering congregation that is a co-operation of denominations, which reflect his spiritual and theological views. He is married for 15 years and lives in Hooglanderveen, the Netherlands.
