Our Christmas delivery deadlines are earlier than you might expect. Make sure your loved ones find lots of lovely books under their tree – order quickly for Christmas delivery! Scroll down for the cut-off dates.
If you are considering buying someone one of our books for Christmas, now is the time to do so.
UK orders: The deadline for guaranteed UK Christmas delivery with “Standard” or “Premium” delivery is quickly approaching!
Paperbacks and some hardbacks*
Noon GMT on Friday 6 December 2023
*included hardbacks: Northumberland: A Guide, Fierce Love, Mostly Durham, Sink or Swim, The Song of Hild, Breathers of an Ampler Day, all subject to availability
All other hardbacks
Noon GMT on Friday 29 November2023
Orders placed after this date may still be delivered in time to be put in stockings, but we can’t guarantee it. Please note that no guarantees are made for free or Economy delivery.
International orders: Due to current delays in the domestic and international postal systems, we are unfortunately not able to guarantee delivery times outside the UK. We will strive to get orders to you as quickly as possible, but we can’t promise that it will be in time for Christmas.
Why is the deadline so early? We use a production process called print-on-demand, which means your books are printed once your order has been placed, specially for you. Whilst this has significant environmental benefits, unfortunately it sometimes results in increased lead times, especially around Christmas. The dates above are the dates we have been given by our printers for guaranteed Christmas delivery.
What happens if your books don’t arrive before Christmas as promised? You can either request a refund of the delivery charges, or return your order to us for a full refund. Please contact us and await confirmation before you return your order.
